Lasagna Roll Ups

 8 oz lasagna noodles ( 1/2 box)
 16 oz ground turkey (1lb)
 small onion (finely chopped)
 4 cloves garlic (minced)
 1 cup tomato sauce
 4 tbsps tomato paste
 1 tsp dried basil
 1 tsp dried thyme
 1 tsp dried oregano
 1 tbsp adobo all purpose
 1 tsp paprika
 1 tbsp granulated sugar
 1 cup marinara sauce
 1 cup ricotta cheese
 1 cups mozzarella (shredded)
 1 egg
 pinch of salt
 1 tbsp fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 375F. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt.

Add lasagna noodles and cook as directed on box. Remove noodles from heat and run under cold water in a colander to stop cooking process

To a large skillet, add oil and once it becomes hot, sauté onion until translucent

Add garlic and sauté together for 3 mins

Add tomato paste and mix in together, then add ground turkey. Allow turkey to cook and get brown for about 5 mins, then use a spatula to break meat down.

Once all the meat is brown. Add tomato sauce and marinara sauce

Add all the seasonings, lowers flame and allow it to simmer for 15 mins. Add sugar and cook for 5 mins

While meat is cooking, add ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, parsley, egg and heavy cream to a bowl and mix together

Once meat is finished cooking. Remove from flame and allow to cool a little

Add 1/4 cup of meat to baking dish. On a baking sheet or a sheet of aluminum foil, spread noodles out in single layers

Add 2 tbsps of meat, followed by 2 tbsps cheese mixture. Repeat princess until each noodle is done

Roll noodles and add to baking dish. Add remaining meat sauce on top along with shredded mozzarella

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Ensure that foil isn’t touching contents of baking dish

Remove foil and add fresh parsley, bake uncovered for 10-12 mins, then broil on low for 5 mins to get extra crisp
